The brief is a short note, weekly on Monday morning or daily, sent by email or to Slack. It says what happened in money, why shoppers stalled, and quotes one sentence the app said. Its figures are read from the same record as the Money page, so the note and the page never disagree.

What it contains

The headline. “23 stalled shoppers heard from us this week, 5 bought, $611 in orders.” Or, on a quiet week: “Quiet this week: no shopper stalled long enough to need us.” The app says when it had nothing to do. The three numbers. Shoppers spoken to, orders credited, revenue from those shoppers, for the period. The same definitions as Money. The restraint line. How many stalled shoppers the app stayed quiet for. This is stated on purpose: the note tells you what it did not do as well as what it did. Sold at full price. What part of the credited revenue came with no discount code. Why they stalled. The top three reasons with counts and how many were spoken to. See Reasons. One thing we said. One sentence from the period, preferring one that led to an order, with the page and the outcome. This is the line that shows what the app sounds like to a shopper. The cap, when it matters. If this month’s usage is past 80% of the cap, or the cap has been reached, the brief says so with the day it runs out at the current pace. See The cap. A link back to the app.

A social line

The brief also carries one plain sentence you can post if you want to: “This week NextIntent spoke to 23 stalled shoppers on our store, 5 bought ($611 in orders), $540 of it at full price with no code. It stayed quiet for the other 140.” Use it or ignore it.

Setting it up

Settings → Reports. Choose weekly, daily or off; an email address (your store’s if empty); a Slack incoming webhook. Send this week’s now sends one immediately. Preview the brief shows it in the app. See Reports.

When it is sent

Weekly briefs go out Monday morning; daily briefs each morning. Sending runs once a day in the background. If email delivery is not switched on for your install yet, the section says so, Slack still works, and nothing is silently lost: the app records what it would have sent.
