NextIntent has one plan and one number. Watch mode is free, for as long as you like. Active mode costs 5% of the orders from shoppers NextIntent spoke to, when the order comes within seven days of the moment. There is no monthly fee, no per-message fee, no trial that turns into a charge, and no annual plan.

The rule

An order is credited to a moment when:
  1. A sentence was shown to the shopper (the page confirmed it). See What “spoke to” means.
  2. The same shopper placed the order within seven days of that moment.
  3. The order has not already been credited to another moment. One credit per order.
You are charged 5% of the credited order’s value, minus refunds. That is the whole rule. Nothing is charged for a shopper who was left alone, held back, or bought without ever seeing a sentence.

An example month

A store with 900 stuck shoppers in a month, active mode on, 10% held back:
  • 810 shoppers are spoken to, 90 held back.
  • 113 of the spoken-to shoppers order within seven days, average order $72: $8,136 credited.
  • The charge is 5% of $8,136: $406.80, on the Shopify invoice.
  • Of the 90 held back, 7 buy on their own (8%). Money shows spoke-to 14% against left-alone 8%, so about 49 of the 113 orders are ones the sentence made happen. That is $3,500 of revenue for a $407 charge.
The charge is on the 113, not the 49. If the app helped, it is paid; the held-back comparison is there so you can see how much it helped. See Held back to compare.

What is free

  • Watch mode, with every report, for ever.
  • The record of every moment, in both modes.
  • Reasons, the brief, the exports.
  • Any month in active mode where no order is credited: nothing is charged.

The cap

When you turn active mode on, Shopify asks you to approve a monthly cap. It starts at $250 and you can change it on Settings → Billing at any time (from $25 up to $100,000). The cap is a promise from the app to you: the month’s charges cannot pass it. When they reach it, active mode pauses on its own and the store drops back to watch mode until you raise the cap or the month rolls over. See The cap.

Through Shopify

Every charge is a usage record on your Shopify invoice, one per credited order, described as “5% of a $72.00 order from a shopper NextIntent spoke to”. There is no card to give NextIntent. Shopify collects it with your other app charges. See See your charges.

Why this pricing

The category’s reviews are full of billing surprises: a free plan with a minimum, a price that changed under a merchant, a usage bill that spiked, a revenue share nobody understood. NextIntent’s answer is one number you can check against the ledger, a cap you set, and a mode that costs nothing. When the app does nothing, it costs nothing; when it helps, it takes 5% of the order it helped with.
