Once the app embed is on, the app confirms it is reading your storefront within seconds of the first page view. This page tells you what to look for and what to do when it is not there.

The three checks on Home

Home → Finish setup lists three items and marks each one done or not: The same three switches are on Settings → What NextIntent may do, with a longer note under each.

Do a test visit

  1. Open your storefront in a private or incognito window, so you look like a new shopper.
  2. Load the home page, open a product, add it to the cart, open the cart.
  3. Go back to the app’s Home page. “Live on your storefront” and the first bar on the fourteen-day chart appear within about fifteen seconds.
The app’s pages refresh on their own while they are open, so you do not need to reload.

When it says Off

  • The embed is on the wrong theme. The switch is per theme. Check the theme that is published, not a draft.
  • You saved the embed but have not loaded a storefront page since. Nothing arrives until a shopper (or you) loads a page.
  • A password page is in front of the store. The script loads on the password page too, but there is nothing to read there. Enter the password and load a real page.
  • A content blocker in your browser. Some blockers stop scripts from third-party hosts. Try a private window with extensions off, or a phone on mobile data.
  • The store’s domain is not one the app knows. The app links your .myshopify.com domain and your primary domain at install. If you added a new domain after installing, open Settings → What it read from your store → Rebuild, which re-links the domains.

What “live” is worth to you

Nothing the app reports is useful until visits are arriving: no moments, no reasons, no money. In watch mode the value of being live is the record it builds: within a day or two you can read Reasons and see, in your own store’s terms, why shoppers stall. That is worth having before you decide whether to turn Messages on.
